Funny story, but when this piece was originally commissioned, it was probably 2009. Maybe even sooner. He had asked for a portrait of Jane Fonda in Vietnam. Years later, my lazy ass finally gets around to completing it and through a combination of abusing substances, taking care of a newborn, and just being a thoughtless, self-centered idiot in general, I somehow thought he wanted Jane Fonda in a wheelchair hanging out in North Korea. Later, after I delivered the painting, I actually researched the subject and realized that what he had asked for made sense, and what I gave him did not. Still though, happy with how Jane turned out!
